About Me:
Well I guess as a result of my recent work I can no longer call myself a “Microsoft focused developer”. I’ve been getting into Solaris & Oracle and have been using my skills in .net development to try and bypass all the baby steps I needed when I first started software development.
I am primarily a developer for c# asp.net web & windows forms applications but am confident in a few different languages. My job and research work means I can’t afford to get comfortable using just one language or OS and I’ve had to rapidly learn new technologies. This is a good thing but it does mean jumping between sometimes entirely different platforms, which has taken a while to get used to.
In just the last month I’ve done work in robotics, speech and gesture, web design and development, license administration, network admin etc etc as part of my drive to gain new skills and find the most interesting field of IT to work in!
